I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (mental health psychotherapist) with a PhD in Clinical Psychology. I have a Bachelor of Art's degree in psychology, a Master of Science in Applied Psychology and a Master of Art in Clinical Psychology; and am a former Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor. I have 12 years experience working in the behavioral & mental health field; and have provided counseling in many settings, including inpatient hospitalization, outpatient treatment, and private practice.

I began my career working in a behavioral health psychiatric hospital, and later worked in the outpatient sector. I have experience with coordinating community support services; providing psychosocial rehabilitation, life skills training, and psychoeducation; and advocating for individuals as their liaison. Currently, I provide professional counseling services to adolescents and adults. I work with individuals, couples, parents, and families to resolve personal, psychological, behavioral, and social concerns. I promote personal growth, self-domination, positive character, and healthy living.

I utilizes a psychodynamic, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) approach. I also utilizes: a Mindfulness Meditation approach to anxiety and depression; John Gottman's methods in couples' therapy; and the World Professional Association for Transgender Health’s Standards of Care when working with transsexual, transgender, and gender nonconforming individuals, as well as with the LGBTQ community.

I find joy in reading, journaling, cleaning, traveling, listening to music, playing baseball, and spending time with my family and close friends.  I am an Oklahoma City, OK native. I resided in Houston, Texas for 12 years and Atlanta, Georgia for a short time; and currently live in the Dallas metroplex with my husband and two children.
